Following my comments in the last two issues, you will remember that it's a must to clean up your database regularly. However, you may be concerned that if you continually clean up your email database, the number of contacts will slowly dwindle. Don't worry! Let me explain how to grow your database .
  1. Leave a place for registration on every page of your website - Everyone is looking for different kinds of information on your website. Every page has points that may trigger a visitor's motivation to register. So, never miss a chance! Leave a place for registration on every web-page!
  2. Offer an incentive - A small gift, a lucky draw, souvenirs and so on can incentivize people to register. Try to provide a special gift to double your registration rate!
  3. Implement a member-get-member program - It's much easier to get a new member from referrals, so devise a program aimed at your existing members to help attract new ones. This will save you money and generate new members.
  4. Make full use of exhibitions, seminars and similar events - Exhibitions, seminars and presentation events are mainly targeting certain groups of people. Every attendee will be interested in what is on show at the exhibition, or the subject matter of a seminar or presentation. So every attendee is a potential customer. We were one of the exhibitors at ad-tech last year and in just three days, we generated more than 150 contacts, some of whom have since become customers - so try to seize this opportunity!

See? Even you keep cleaning up your database, it WILL grow!
